The Evolution of WATCHPOD® – Protecting Your Timepieces

January 6, 2024 by Matthew Catellier Leave a Comment

Welcome to the World of WATCHPOD®

Back in 2015, the idea of WATCHPOD® was born out of a personal need and a deep passion for watches. Like many of you, I was on the hunt for the perfect way to keep my watches safe during travels. This led me to design our very first product, the Single Watchpod travel case, right after I found myself searching for the Oakley watch vault, which, unfortunately, was discontinued. Fast forward to today, and our Watchpod travel cases have made their way into prestigious publications like The New York Times and Forbes, not to mention numerous watch blogs and magazines.

The Journey of the Original Watchpod

The original single Watchpod travel case

Creating the Original Watchpod was an adventure. We wanted something that fit a variety of watches perfectly. To make sure we got it right, we tested loads of different watches and brands. We even put the case through drop tests and waterproof tests. The goal? To make the case as travel-friendly and discreet as possible. It’s been a hit, and we’ve sold hundreds of thousands of these cases through our official store and on Amazon.

Why Our Watchpods Stand Out

Double Watchpod for two watches

Our Watchpods are all about giving your watch the best protection. We’ve implemented a concave center in the case to keep your watch and its bracelet from touching, and we add removable foam for a snug fit. The outside is made from a tough 1680 ballistic denier nylon for durability. And while others have tried to copy our design, none have matched our unique proportions and the secure fit that our cases offer.

Growing the WATCHPOD® Family

Since the success of our single case, we’ve expanded the family. Now we have double, triple, and even six-watch cases. They’re sleek, slim, and just what you need to carry a few more watches without taking up too much room. Every design hugs your watches closely, making sure they’re safe and snug.

More Than Just Cases

Display stand for holding one watch

Our love for watches doesn’t stop at cases. Take our metal WATCHPOD® display stands, for example. They’re built tough in stainless steel and come with rubber bumpers to keep your watches in place. They’re perfect for showing off your collection, whether it’s just one watch or an entire collection.
