Lacoste 2010826 12.12 Analog Watch Review

Lacoste 2010826 12.12 Analog Watch Review

Lacoste’s model 2010826 12.12 analog display quartz watch is a slick black timepiece with both an overall great aesthetic and superb functionality. The watch features a round display with a resin stationary bezel, a solid chronograph, and a silicone band with a plastic clasp. It feels just as heavy and sturdy on your wrist as it looks in the package and pictures.

2010826 12.12 Sleek Fashion Design

The look and feel of the lacoste 2010826 is probably its greatest asset. I love the contrasts of black and gold, and in terms of pure utility, it makes the dial extremely easy to read at a moment’s notice. The matte black finish on the case — along with the silicone band and plastic clasp — help give this watch a non-pretentious, simple aesthetic. The black dial with gold accents make the watch “pop” more than others I’ve seen on the market, but there’s nothing in the way of extravagant font, logos, or overall design that make this watch feel overwhelming when you look at it.

Build Quality & Features

The 2010826 watch is extremely sturdy and heavy, though you might not guess so based on the pictures. The black silicone-wrapped case has a diameter of 44mm and a thickness of 12.8mm, making it a decent-sized device that doesn’t look or feel too bulky on the wrist. The silicone band feels pretty great as well, and the plastic buckle clasp feels well-constructed and sturdy. I really don’t anticipate this Lacoste timepiece falling apart, even with extensive use; it’s designed to be used daily in various activities and you can certainly tell based on its competent construction. It’s also water-resistant up to 165ft.

The chronograph is also well-made and hasn’t demonstrated any issues. There’s three dials that have the standard chronograph features you’d come to expect in seconds, minutes, and hours. Adjusting the time is made easy because of the textured crown. The crown itself is another well-built part on the 2010826 watch that feels very sturdy, along with the stationary resin bezel. The watch features a Japanese quartz movement system to ensure that it keeps time accurately and consistently.

The Lacoste 2010826 feels as though it’s walking the line between classy and active. The black and gold colors make it look absolutely beautiful, while the silicone-wrapped case and band give it the ability to be used in a ton of different active situations. The build quality is top-notch as well, so you won’t need to worry about it falling apart or breaking when you’re on the job or working out. I personally wouldn’t wear this as a dress watch, but it works for nearly any other occasion you could think of.

Overview

Overall, the Lacoste men’s 2010826 12.12 analog watch is a great addition to the entry-level watch market. It’s beautifully simple while retaining a certain flavor of elegance and class. The choice to use a simple black dial with golden accents was a fantastic design choice because it looks absolutely beautiful and provides perfect legibility to match. The hardware is solidly constructed and shows zero signs of coming apart, the chronograph is perfectly functional, the quartz movement system ensures a constantly accurate time, and the watch itself looks beautiful. Well done, Lacoste. This is a fantastic product.
